Set Up Add-Ons

Learn how to set up add-ons to offer upgrades for your activities.

Add-Ons are a useful tool for offering upgrades or variations to your activities. They differ from products in that add-ons are optional enhancements or extensions for each activity, whereas products are physical items. Add-Ons can include things like VIP seating, skip-the-line options, and other premiums that can be made available to guests during the booking process. 

 

How to Create an Add-On

  • Navigate to your Activity Catalog by selecting More > Activity Catalog from the toolbar

 

  • Select an activity from the list 
  • Select Add-Ons from the left menu 


 

  • Select + New Add-On

 

  •  Select an Internal Name for your Add-On. This is only visible to logged in team members and will be shown the trip and on your manifest 

 

  • Select a Public Title for your add-on, which is displayed to your customers during checkout 

 

  • Add a Description to describe your add-on

 

  • Add an optional Placeholder text to guide your customers on what inf

 

  • Select a Status for your add-on
    • Draft: If this add-on is not ready to display online, set the status to Draft 
    • Live: If you're ready to offer this add-on, set the status to Live 
    • Archived: If you're no longer offering this add-on, set the status to Archived

 

  • Select the Availability 
    • Lead guest only: The add-on option can only be purchased once for the overall trip. For example, a photo package would be an upgrade for all guests
    • For each guest on a booking: The add-on option would be available for each guest on the trip. For example, a drink package may be something each individual guest would decide to add during checkout

 

  • Set the Requirements 
    • Add-On is optional: Select this if the add-on is an optional upgrade, such as a photo package
    • Customer must select a choice: Select this if you require the customer to pick an option. For example, you may require customers to purchase a fishing license with their First Time Fishing Trip. In this case, you would require customers to select their license type

 

  • Select E-Commerce Visibility 
    • Visible to Everyone: Select this if you'd like the add-on to display as an option for both e-commerce and walkup trips 
    • Private: Select this option if you prefer to keep this add-on internal and only visible by logged in team members

 

  • Set your Capacity. For example, if you offer a photo package but only have three photographers on staff, set your capacity to “3”

 

  • Create Add-On Choices by naming your offered selections, choosing the action after the add-on is selected, and setting the dollar amount or percent amount of the add-on 
    • Increase/Decrease Price: This option will either increase (add a positive amount into the box) or decrease (add a negative amount into the box) the price during checkout
    • Set Price To: If you'd like, when this add-on is selected, to set the entire trip amount to a specific price, select this option
    • Don't Change Price: If the add-on should not increase the price of the trip, select this option 
    • Increase/Decrease %: This option will either increase (add a positive amount into the box) or decrease (add a negative amount into the box) the price during checkout

 

  • Select Save 

 

And that's it! Your add-on will now be available for selection during checkout
