Availability vs. capacity

Two numbers describe every timeslot, and they're easy to mix up. Capacity is the most you could sell. Availability is what's left to sell right now. Capacity is a setting you control; availability is a live number TripWorks calculates for...

Create booking availabilities

Availabilities (also called timeslots) are the specific dates and times when an activity is open for booking. They're what shoppers see on your booking widget and what your team books against on the Calendar. In this article Create availabilities for...

Booking restrictions

A booking restriction is a reusable set of rules for how guests can book: the party size you accept, how close to start time a slot stays open, how far ahead people can book, and what shoppers see when a...

Capacity: by resources

By resources ties an activity's capacity to the real things a booking consumes — boats, kayaks, life jackets, guides, rooms. Instead of a fixed number, availability is derived from your resource pool: a timeslot is bookable only while the resources...

Capacity: unlimited

Unlimited accepts as many bookings as come in — no cutoff based on headcount or resources. It's the default model for a new activity, and the right one when running out of room simply isn't a concern. In this article...

Customize how timeslots appear

Not every timeslot is a simple start time. Charters, all-day rentals, and on-demand experiences need to read differently to guests — and closed dates shouldn't just vanish without explanation. TripWorks gives you three ways to control how a timeslot presents...

Edit capacity for a single date or multiple dates

Overriding an activity's capacity for a specific date lets you manage availability around demand, special events, or operational changes — without touching the activity's default capacity. Common reasons: In this article Who can edit capacity Edit capacity for a single...

Set activity capacity limits

Capacity settings tell TripWorks how many spots an activity can sell and how to count them. Pick the model that matches how you actually operate — a flat headcount, a limit per ticket type, or a number driven by the...
