Expiring Availability Alerts
TripWorks now shows an alert on your homepage when an activity's availability is about to expire. This helps you catch expiring availability windows before they affect your customers.
Previously, the only way to know that availability was running out was to check inside the Activity Editor or notice a small "!" icon. It was easy to miss, and some operators discovered the issue only after customers reported that an activity showed as unavailable.
Where You'll See the Alert
The alert appears on your TripWorks homepage. When one or more of your activities have availability that's nearing its end date, you'll see a notification at the top of the page.
What You Can Do
The alert gives you two options:
- Take me there to extend — This brings you directly to the availability settings for the affected activity, where you can extend the availability window
- Dismiss — If you're aware of the expiration and don't need to act (for example, a seasonal activity that's intentionally ending), you can dismiss the alert
Why This Matters
When an activity's availability window expires, that activity no longer appears as bookable to customers. If you didn't intend for it to go offline, you're losing potential bookings without realizing it.
This alert gives you advance notice so you can extend availability before it runs out. It's especially useful if you manage multiple activities and don't check each one's availability settings regularly.
Tip: To avoid last-minute alerts, set your availability windows further in advance. If you typically operate year-round, extending availability several months ahead means you won't need to revisit it as often.
