Setting Up Your Twilio Integration

Sending messages to your customers has never been easier! This integration provides you with the flexibility to set up a phone number of your choice, enabling two-way communication and direct engagement with your customers.

Follow the simple steps below to set up your Twilio integration. 

 

 

Prerequisites 

Make sure to Create a Twilio account if you haven't already.

 

 

Step 1: Configure Your Messaging Service 

  • Visit Twilio's website and log in to your Twilio account 
  • From the Twilio Dashboard, select Messaging > Services on the left menu 

 

  • Select “Create Messaging Service”

 

  • Fill in the prompts under Step 1, which include naming your messaging service and selecting a use case 

 

  • On Step 2, you'll be prompted to Add Senders. In most cases, you'll want to choose a Phone Number. Select continue > Add phone numbers 

 

 

Other Sender Types may not work and your mileage may vary. Because of this, it is recommend you select “Phone Number” when setting up this integration. 

 

 

 

  • For Step 3, leave all settings as is. Select “Step 4: Add compliance info” to proceed to the next step 

 

 

  • On Step 4, you may or may not need to to comply with country specific compliance or registration details. If not, select “Complete Messaging Service Setup” to proceed 

 

Once you've completed all four steps, you'll see a confirmation indicating your Messaging Service has been set up successfully 

 

 

 

Step 2: Add Your Message SID To Your TripWorks Account 

  • From inside your Twilio account, select “Services” on the left menu. You will see your Messaging Service along with your SID (beginning with MG). Copy this ID

 

  • From inside your TripWorks account, navigate to the Integrations section and select Twilio. Paste your SID into the “Messaging Service SID” field under Step 1

 

 

 

Step 3: Add Your Twilio Account SID & Auth Token

  • Inside your Twilio account, select your Account name in the upper left 

 

  • Scroll down to Account Info to find your Account SID and Auth Token 

 

  • Copy both the SID and the Auth Token and paste these into your TripWorks account under Step 2 of the Twilio integration

 

  • In TripWorks, select “Save” to complete the integration set up
