To take card payments in TripWorks and receive your payouts, you connect a bank account once, before you launch. TripWorks handles payments through our payments partner, Stripe, so the setup runs through a secure, guided flow — you won't hand any bank details to TripWorks directly.

Connect your account
- Go to Setup Integrations and open the payments (bank connection) settings.
- Select Connect Bank Account.
- You're taken to a secure, guided setup to enter your business and bank details. Complete the required fields and continue.
- Review your details, submit, and you're returned to TripWorks.
Connect a checking account for your payouts (using your routing and account number) — not a debit-card account.
If you already have a payment account elsewhere, use an email address for this setup that isn't already tied to that account. Reusing the same email causes the connection to fail.
Check your connection status
After you finish, your connection shows a status:
- Complete — everything's set; you're ready to take payments.
- Enabled / pending — a few more details or documents are still needed before payments are fully turned on. Follow the prompts to finish, and confirm with your onboarding manager if you're unsure.
TripWorks can't see or enter the information you provide during setup, but we can confirm your connection status for you.
Once you're connected
With your account connected, card payments work everywhere you sell, with fraud and authentication protection built in — see How TripWorks protects you from fraud & chargebacks and Does TripWorks support 3D Secure (SCA)?.
Frequently asked questions
Why did my connection fail with an "email already in use" message?
The email you used is already tied to another payment account. Restart the setup with a different email address that isn't associated with an existing account.
Can TripWorks set this up for me?
No — the details you enter during setup go directly to our payments partner, not to TripWorks, so we can't complete it for you. We can verify your connection status and help you interpret it.
What's the difference between "Complete" and "Enabled"?
Complete means all setup requirements are met. Enabled (or pending) means more details or documentation are still needed before payments are finalized.
