What does "Pending Review" mean on a payment?

A payment marked Pending Review was charged successfully but hit a technical snag posting to the trip. It's reviewed and applied automatically — don't re-charge.

If you see Pending Review on a payment — with a message that the payment was accepted and processed but not yet posted to the trip — here's the important part: the payment went through. The guest's card was charged successfully.

What happened

Pending Review means a technical hiccup occurred while posting an otherwise-successful payment to the trip. The charge itself completed; only the step that attaches it to the trip needs a moment.

What happens next

  • The payment was successfully processed — the guest was charged.
  • It will be reviewed and automatically applied to the trip once the review completes.
  • You don't need to re-charge the guest. Charging again would double-bill them.

If the payment hasn't posted after a reasonable time, or you're unsure, contact TripWorks support before taking any action — never re-run the card on a Pending Review payment.

Frequently asked questions

Was the guest charged?

Yes. Pending Review only affects posting the payment to the trip — the card was charged successfully.

Should I charge them again?

No. The payment will be applied automatically. Re-charging would double-bill the guest — contact support if it doesn't resolve.
