Setting a Device Mode

Easily switch between Full Dashboard, Point-of-Sale, and Waiver Portal modes to optimize your device for different tasks.

Customize your device’s interface based on your needs. Whether you’re managing your full dashboard, running a point-of-sale, or using the device as a waiver portal, setting the right mode ensures you get the most optimized experience.

Full Dashboard Mode

This is the default view that provides access to nearly everything in your TripWorks account, depending on your permissions. In Full Dashboard mode, you can view and manage reports, sales, the manifest, calendar, and much more. This mode is perfect for overseeing all aspects of your operations, ensuring that you have a complete overview of your account’s activity.

When to use it: If you’re managing day-to-day operations, reviewing reports, or tracking sales, Full Dashboard mode offers a comprehensive view of your account based on your access level.

 
 

Point of Sale Mode 

The Point-of-Sale (POS) mode is optimized for use in retail, hospitality, bars, or other similar environments. In this mode, you’ll only see your products available for sale, and you can tap them to quickly process payments.

This mode simplifies the interface so that staff can easily manage transactions without the distractions of other functions like reports or manifests.

When to use it: If your device is being used primarily for sales transactions, POS mode ensures your staff can quickly and efficiently process payments.

 
 

Waiver Portal Mode

Waiver Portal mode transforms your device into a signature station where customers can sign their waivers. This mode hides other TripWorks features, displaying only the waiver for customers to complete.

When to use it: If you’re using your device to collect customer waivers before an activity, Waiver Portal mode simplifies the process by allowing customers to sign directly on the device.

 
 

 

 

How to Switch Device Mode from the Full Dashboard View

  1. Select your name in the upper right corner
  2. Choose Set Device Mode from the dropdown menu

 

  1. Select the device mode you want

 

  1. The device will update automatically to reflect your selection

 

How to Switch Device Mode from the Point of Sale View 

  1. Select the gear icon in the upper right 

 

  1. Select the device mode you want

 

  1. The device will update automatically to reflect your selection

 

 

 

How to Switch Device Mode from the Waiver Portal View 

  1. Double tap or click on the center of the logo at the top of the page

 

  1. Select the device mode you want

 

  1. The device will update automatically to reflect your selection
