If you’re unable to edit a trip in TripWorks, it may be because the trip is locked. Trips automatically lock 14 days after they’re created in order to maintain accurate reporting, ensuring that no changes made to past trips will affect previously generated reports.
For example, if you run a report today and later make changes to a trip—such as adding tickets, altering prices, processing refunds, or making new payments—it would affect the data in the report you initially ran. Locking the trip after 14 days prevents these inconsistencies, keeping your records and reports accurate.
However, if you do need to make changes to a locked trip, this article explains how you can unlock it to proceed with the necessary adjustments
How to Unlock a Trip
If you need to make changes to a locked trip, you can simply select the Unlock button within the trip
Additional editing options will then appear. Keep in mind that after making changes, you may need to rerun any previous reports to ensure accuracy.
