Book from inside your TripWorks account whenever you take a booking for a guest by phone, chat, email, or in person. Your reports then show how each booking came in and which team member entered it.

Learn how to manage permission groups
Start a booking
Every starting point opens the same booking flow. Pick whichever is closest to where you already are.
- Dashboard. Use New Trip under Quick Links.
- Sales. Choose Book Trip.
- Calendar. Open a day and choose Book for the activity and time you want.
- Manifest. Choose Book on the timeslot. The timeslot doesn't need an existing reservation.
- Customer profile. Choose Book to start a trip for that guest. See Find and manage guest profiles.
Your account may use its own word for "trip", such as reservation or flight, and the buttons use it.
Record how the booking was received
Before you add guests, TripWorks asks How was this trip received? Choose the method, such as phone, chat, or walk-up. Walk-up is the default. Guests never see this question; it's for your team and your reports.
Build and reserve the trip
- Choose the activity, date, and time, then add guests and any add-ons or products.
- Enter the guest's contact details.
- Choose Reserve. The trip starts as a Draft and becomes Reserved when you do.
- Take payment on the Payments tab. See Record payments on a trip.
A Draft trip holds no capacity and isn't a confirmed booking. See Trip statuses.
If a time is full, an overbook toggle lets you book it anyway.
If you can't reserve a trip that hasn't been paid in full, your permission group is missing Allow underpaid/unpaid Trips to be Reserved. An account admin can add it.
Frequently asked questions
Can I book a trip for a guest without logging in?
Yes, through your booking page. But bookings entered while logged in are better for reporting because they record the method and the team member. See Can I book a trip without logging in to my TripWorks account?
Is there a faster way to book walk-ups?
Yes. The Register is built for it. See Use the Register for walk-up bookings.
